Henderson Brewery has always held a special place in my heart. Long before I photographed a wedding here, it was a place my husband and I would visit together. We’d stop in for a drink, spend time with friends, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere that makes this part of Toronto feel so inviting. Returning years later as a wedding photographer felt incredibly full circle, and it reminded me why it has always been such a special place to me.
One of the things I appreciate most about photographing weddings at Henderson Brewery is how effortlessly the space lends itself to storytelling. Every part of the venue feels intentional, from the exposed brick and warm wood accents to the industrial details that give the brewery so much personality. There are beautiful little pockets throughout the space that naturally bring people together, whether guests are catching up over cocktails or sharing a quiet moment before the celebration begins. As a photographer, those authentic interactions are some of my favourite moments to document because they become the photographs couples treasure most years later.
One of my favourite things about Henderson Brewery is that some of the best portrait locations are already just outside the front door. Within just a few minutes, you’ll find beautiful brick buildings, quiet side streets, interesting architectural details, and soft natural light that complements the industrial feel of the venue. The result is a gallery that feels both editorial and deeply personal, with plenty of variety without ever pulling you away from your celebration for long.
More than anything, though, what keeps bringing me back to Henderson Brewery is the feeling. Every wedding I’ve experienced here has felt warm, genuine, and centred around the people who matter most. There’s something about Henderson Brewery that encourages people to slow down a little. Conversations linger, guests settle in, and the celebration unfolds at a comfortable pace instead of feeling rushed from one event to the next.Those are the weddings I love photographing because they’re filled with authentic moments that never go out of style. If you’re looking for a Toronto wedding venue that’s full of character, beautifully designed, and a little different from the traditional ballroom experience, Henderson Brewery is one I’d wholeheartedly recommend.
