The Maple Ballroom is your go-to for larger celebrations, while their smaller rooms feel especially beautiful for more intimate gatherings. From experience, it really shines when the guest count allows the space to feel intentional, relaxed, and fully immersive.
1 Hotel is one of those venues where beautiful photo moments happen almost everywhere, so you never feel like you have to go searching for them. The rooftop is a standout for skyline portraits, while spaces like the Flora Lounge and Garden Pavilion offer soft, natural light and a more intimate feel. Some of my favourite images tend to come from the in-between moments though, the lobby, bar, and quieter corners all have this warm, layered texture that photographs effortlessly and keeps the day feeling relaxed and seamless.

Many of the spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows, so you get beautiful natural light throughout the day, especially in areas like the Flora Lounge and Garden Pavilion. Overall, the lighting feels soft, dimensional, and very forgiving, which makes it easy to create images that feel natural, elevated, and consistent without needing to over-direct.
Yes, 1 Hotel Toronto offers onsite valet parking, which makes arrival simple for guests, though I usually recommend planning ahead as space can be limited. The downtown location is very easy to access, so many guests opt for Uber or taxi, especially in the evening. For out of town guests, private car service can be arranged, and the hotel’s house car for short local trips is a really thoughtful added touch.
