Yorkville neighborhood was the perfect editorial setting for a sweet, intimate wedding at Sassafraz that celebrated the love and commitment of two beautiful souls.

As Taylor walked down the aisle in a stunning ivory gown, all eyes were on her, including Mark and Abigail in his arms, who both gazed at her warmly with tears in their eyes. The couple exchanged their vows in front of a small group of close family and friends, who all felt the love and joy radiating from the couple, and walked up the aisle together with Abigail – it couldn’t have been more perfect.

After the ceremony, the guests moved to the Sassafraz’s main room, where they were greeted with the sweet scent of fresh flowers and candles. The couple’s favorite music played in the background, adding to the romantic ambiance.

During the reception, Taylor and Mark shared their first dance, embracing and dancing to a slow and emotional song that brought tears to the eyes of many of their guests. As the night went on, the guests continued to celebrate the couple’s love with heartfelt toasts, laughter, and dancing. The intimate setting allowed for a deep connection between everyone present, creating an unforgettable and emotional experience.

Intimate weddings always take my breath away because they truly celebrate the heart of the whole day in the best way possible. When the guest list is curated and small, it means my couples get to spend more quality time with each guest. Every conversation and interaction feels more meaningful, and more intentional. Intimate weddings are also wonderfully relaxed and often quite laid-back, allowing couples to be fully present and truly themselves throughout their day. When I think about the heart of a wedding day, I truly believe an intimate wedding is simply perfection.

At the end of the night, the couple shared a private moment together at golden hour, and whispered sweet-nothings into each other’s ears as they reflected on the whirlwind day they had with their loved ones and with their sweet baby girl Abigail. They both agreed that Sassafraz had been the perfect location for their sweet, intimate, and emotional wedding, one they would cherish for the rest of their lives.
