Warm and thoughtful. Intimate and heartful. Just a few words to describe Rose and Ian and the wedding they celebrated at Clay Restaurant at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto. They went for modern, romantic cozy fall mood for their guests and were drawn to the beautiful architecture of this stunning venue, uniquely located in the downtown core. Most of all, they simply wanted to share these moments with their family and friends, bringing everyone together to celebrate. I loved this easy but meaningful intention for their wedding and am so delighted to have gone from a simple email dropping into my inbox to calling these two my friends.
The morning was sweetly calm and joyful. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and all this incredibly beautiful natural light radiated all throughout the getting ready space. Then after seeing eachother for the first time that day, we strolled around the busy Toronto streets for a few portrait moments before heading to the breathtaking ceremony space. What I loved most about Rose and Ian is their gentle tenderness, and the sweet loving looks they would give eachother in-between moments. These beautiful, fleeting moments are what I am constantly looking out for as I photograph wedding days photojournalistically.
Above all, I loved that they incorporated their Frenchie pup Charlie, and Ian’s parents’ pup Ethan, throughout every single part of the day. Being a pup mum myself, I can’t think of anything that would make me more happier too.
Rose & Ian, I loved every moment of our time together.
